A 5-year-old girl helped save a tiny tabby kitten who was found on the road. They have been inseparable since. Meet Cyborg the kitten! Courtesy: Laney Van Antwerp-Nava "A friend called me Friday night to let me know that there was what she believed to be a newborn kitten whose eyes weren't even open yet. She said it kept wandering into the road, and she was scared that it would get run over," Laney Van Antwerp-Nava told Love Meow. When she saw the kitten, she realized that the tiny fur baby was actually about 4-6 weeks old. "His eyes weren't open because they were stuck shut with dried mucus." She took the kitten home and began the process of cleaning his eyes. Though they managed to help him open his eyes, they were shut again the next morning. Parker, Laney's daughter, offered to help. She stayed with the kitten and kept him in her arms. Courtesy: Laney Van Antwerp-Nava "My veteranarian wasn't able to see us as...

The Three Little Ginger Musketeers

Image
Three beautiful ginger babies were brought to the shelter. Within a few hours, they arrived in their foster home where they were greeted by not just one, but many cat residents who started taking care of them in rotation. The kittens were around 20 days old, still bottle babies. Within a month, they started eating solid food. The older cats taught the little ones how to socialize, groom and hunt (toys or each other). Though they are all orange babies, two of them are girls and the boy is bigger than both of his sisters according to Tracy. The three musketeers ran around the house, wreaking havoc. Wherever they were, the older cats followed. They were wonderful helpers and sweet and loving foster parents. All three little "lions" have been adopted and they are turning three years old this year :). Photos courtesy of © Tracy Chan (flickr:  beatrice524 ). source: Love Moew

An Abused Puppy Finds Out He’s Being Adopted… When He Realizes Who It Is? You Have To See This!

Image
When an animal gets rescued, removing it from an abusive situation is only the first step toward saving its life. It also faces a long road of physical recovery, followed by a period of learning to trust and open up to humans again. But the hardest journey of all for a rescue animal is finding its forever home, a place where it will finally be loved and cared for. When this three-month-old pit bull puppy was removed from a home with terrible living conditions, he had a severe case of mange and was in horrible physical shape. Joey Wagner, who created a nonprofit animal rescue organization in Nova Scotia, quickly stepped in and got the pup to an animal hospital. The puppy, named Mojo, began a slow but steady recovery. Adoption requests came pouring in, but the center could not consider regular adoptions because of the severity of his condition. But on the day he was finally well enough to leave the vet, Joey returned with a welcome...

Refugee Cat Treks Thousands Of Miles To Reunite With His Family!

Image
The refugee crisis straining European countries has been unabated over the last decade or so, starting with upheaval in Iraq, and continuing today with Syrian refugees still seeking asylum in the thousands. Stories about the people fleeing are easy to find, but there are hidden casualties, namely the animals being left behind by families fleeing their homes. These abandoned animals have very little chance of finding safety again. While there are numerous outstanding organizations that are trying to help these pets, it seems hopeless. That is, until you find a story like that of Kunkush, a cat lost in Greece during his family's escape from Iraq. Kunkush was more than 2,000 km from home when he got separated from his family. They searched for him in vain, and then were relocated! While the family was set up with a new life in Norway, Kunkush had to fend for himself. Miraculously, Kunkush survived, and his harrowing story ended in the most unbelievable way. For a...

Abandoned Cat Takes Every Chance to Cuddle with Man He Befriended

Image
A cat was left behind by his previous family and found himself wandering in the neighborhood until he met a guy who has a soft spot for animals. He walked up to his human friend and hopped in his lap for some cuddles. Photo: Beartow "I moved into a new house with some work friends, and after a few days we noticed this guy living under a hedge," reddit user Beartow said. "He had been left by the woman who lived there before us when she moved out. Not neutered, underweight, and dirty..." The kitty immediately took to this guy and wanted cuddles from him. He was quite persistent. " He took every chance to cuddle up with me outside. I named him The Professor." The guy became the kitty's daily food provider. He saved up enough money to bring him to get vetted and fixed. The vet estimated the cat was around one year old when they found him. "This was shortly after bringing him in." The professor looks quite ravishing with his ...
