A 20-year-old cat was rescued and given a forever loving home and a much needed bath. He is so happy that he can't stop purring. Meet Oswald the cat! "He was surrendered to a shelter without a name or much of a hope," Karyn Poplin of Kitty Adventure Rescue League told Love Meow. Karyn took the kitty out of the shelter and into her cat sanctuary where he would have a place to call home. Despite his age, health and trouble walking, nothing can stop this old man from "exploring and getting in the way in true cat fashion." Meet Pippin, a fluffy cat who is happily living his cat life on two legs. "Pippin was born with radial hypoplasia, a rare disease that twisted the bones in his front legs. When he was born he couldn't walk, and the vet wasn't sure if he would survive. With a lot of work and patience Pippin has adapted to living on two legs and is as happy and playful as any other cat," said Pippin's human via Instagram . Stevie is a blind rescued cat I adopted 4 years ago from a local shelter in Cork, Ireland. She’s a natural explorer and loves to accompany me on hikes in the beautiful Irish countryside and the surrounding mountains. When we go hiking together, she usually prefers to explore all by herself and follows my sounds but she also walks alongside me on a leash or balances on my shoulders with ease! Life has been pretty busy lately, I’ve recently become a father of two and my fiancee and I are also saving up to buy our first house but Stevie continues to be a very important part of my life as she’s always been – we’re inseparable! It was just a regular day in the life of a normal cop, who serves his community and fights crime until he found a an abandoned kitty underneath a dumpster and discovered a new crime-fighting partner in him. Who needs humans when you have an adorable ball of fur? The now famous cop goes by the name of DonutOperator on his Instagram account in which he displays the adventures he has with the kitten he adopted, which he named Squirt. Together, they’ve been riding the streets, making the world a better place – or at least, DonutOperator has; Squirt usually stays home, where he naps and eats all day next to his adopted siblings, but hey! Eyona, one of a litter of six found in a Cape Town park, is a lykoi, or “wolf cat”. TEARS Animal Rescue , who knew instantly there was something different about him. “He’s got the look of a wolf, but the physique of a cat,” said TEARS operations manager Mandy Store. “We thought he might be a sphinx crossbreed, but he’s got a lot of little physical differences from cats. He’s quite incredible.” They took him to a vet, who confirmed he is just the world’s 35th example of a lykoi. Not quite a distinct breed yet, lykoi are created by a genetic mutation first identified in 2010. Lykoi cats shed their hair frequently, but regularly grow it back. They also have no undercoat. And despite their vicious appearance, they’re aloof but friendly. “He’s very much like a dog,” Ms Store told The Dodo. “He’s playful like a dog. He’ll look you in the eyes with a sense of great attachment, unlike most feral cats. He’ll even drag his blanket around with him....
