They Thought This Kitten Would Live with Tremors for Life, but She Shocks Them All
A tiny calico kitten was found shaking uncontrollably, and was in
poor shape. Her rescuers wouldn't give up on her despite all the odds
against her. They thought she would live with tremors for the rest of
her life, but the little furry fighter surprised them all.

In June, 2015 Itty Bitty Kitty Committee
(Charleston, West Virginia) took in a tiny kitten with uncontrollable
tremors. She was rescued from someone who was known for their drug
habit. "Camie was shaking and was fighting for her life."
"We took her to one of our vets where they began to treat her with fluids and different medications." But the tremors were not getting better. Her prognosis was not good.
The vet wasn't sure if they would be able to save the kitten, but the rescue group knew they had to keep trying. "We transferred her to the emergency clinic for the weekend. She remained on fluids, and more blood work done and was monitored closely. But, despite their efforts the tremors were not going away," the rescue group said.

They concluded that Camie was more than likely a CH (Cerebral Hypoplasia) kitty and put her on a mixture of IV fluids and vitamins to boost her strength and health.

They
hand fed her every 2 to 3 hours. "Although she still shook she was
getting stronger, had a great appetite and loved to play."

She
acted like any other kitten her age despite the tremors, and even
learned to use the litter box. Camie discovered that her tail and feet
make great toys.

"Camie found a great home with a family who was ready to take on a kitty with CH."
A month after her adoption, the little calico girl surprised everyone with her progress. "The tremors were getting better! We couldn't believe it, but every day she shook a little less."
She even made a best friend at her new home! They are inseparable!
Two
months after she found her forever home, Camie's tremors disappeared.
She no longer struggled with walking, running and even jumping.

They thought she would live with shaking for life, but Camie shocked them all and triumphed over her tremors.
Camie running around at the rescue center. It's hard to believe that this is the same kitten that could barely lift her head.
Two months after moving into her forever home, her shaking was gone for good!

Camie was taken off of the IV. She started eating out of a bowl and was
trying to drink on her own. With a lot of love and hard work, she was
finally ready for her forever loving home.
