Woman Helps Lost Cat Find His Family Thanks to Message on His Collar

A kind-hearted woman in Texas helped a lost kitty find his family thanks to a message on his collar.

A woman was out jogging when she came across a cat with a collar wandering about all alone. Just the other day, she read a tip on reddit that said: "If you have an indoor cat, put 'Name (Indoor cat)' on the name tag. That way, if someone finds your cat, they will know that it is not supposed to be outside and call you."

On a whim, she decided to stop, hoping the cat would let her get near so she could read his collar. "Sure enough he had the exact kind of collar I read about on reddit.," MidgeGidge shares with Love Meow. "(It) said 'I'm an indoor cat'… I really couldn't believe it when I read it."

The kitty, named Jamie, was so happy to have a friend to interact with. "I honestly thought he would run but he meowed, rolled over on his back, rolled in the mulch and let me pet him," she said. "I think he wanted to go home."

The kind woman immediately called the number printed on the tag, but the call wasn't answered, so she waited with the cat, hoping the owner would call back. "I walked over to get into the shade and he followed me over, rubbed on my leg and meowed. I think he knew I was going to get him home somehow."

As she was taking some pictures to send to the owner, the person called back. "They were overjoyed because he had gotten out and was pretty far from home," she said.

"His owner said he crossed some pretty busy streets to get to where he was last night, so we may have in fact saved his life."

"He was beautiful, and so sweet. He just sat with me, and let me pet him until mom drove up."
"When she drove up and I carried him over… she was so happy to have him back," MidgeGidge told Love Meow.

"I always tell myself to trust my gut, and for some reason my gut said, stop and check on this cat, maybe he doesn't belong out here," she said. "I'm really glad I stopped. It's crazy how something like this can carry over and keep me smiling today."

Jamie is home, safe and sound! Share this story with your friends.

World's Biggest Maine Coon Watches Over His Tiny Brother

Ludo is not only the biggest Maine Coon, but he is also the biggest house cat in the world. He loves his family especially his human brothers, guarding them every step of the way.

Meet Ludo the Maine Coon.

Ludo the 3-year-old Maine Coon from Wakefield, England is an extraordinary cat.

He was the biggest kitten in his litter according to Kelsey Gill. Before his first Birthday Ludo hit 20½ Lbs. Many who had met him during his kittenhood, couldn't believe he was a kitten and still had a lot of growing to do.

On October 6th 2015, he was measured by the Guinness World Records at 118.33cm (3 ft 10.59 inch) and was crowned to be the World's longest domestic cat.

"He's currently 34 lbs," Kelsey told Love Meow. Ludo has grown bigger since last year, and it's likely that this gentle giant has grown longer in length.

Ludo the beautiful fluffy boy adores his tiny 9lb baby brother, Ryder.

It's no surprise to the family that Ludo has a big heart for his humans. When he was a kitten, he was very protective of his little brother Cameron and was always by his side. The two became inseparable friends.

"Thick as thieves, Ludo is always at his side."

"He's so gentle he's a big softy he's like a big teddy bear, very chilled personality," Kelsey told Love Meow.

When the little guy wasn't feeling so well, Ludo kept him company the whole time.

"He enjoys being near by with both our boys it's like he's watching out for them."

As Cameron grew bigger, so did Ludo.

Ludo and his little brother Cameron share a very special bond.

Best of friends!

They have two other cats in the house. One is a 10lb calico, Arwen, who loves to snuggle with Ludo and give him baths.

"The smaller cat isn't especially small."

Their other cat is 14lb Krum, who is also a Maine Coon himself, but compared to Ludo, he's less than half of his size.

Ludo is the king, the protector, the gentle giant.

Man Stops in Busy Road to Save Kitten Fallen from Car While Others Just Keep Driving

A man stopped in the middle of a busy road to rescue a tiny helpless kitten from a certain death while others just kept passing by the kitten.

A CCTV camera in Russia captured a tiny kitten fall out from a moving car in the middle of a very busy road. The kitten nearly escaped being run over by several incoming cars and trucks.

No one stopped or called for help. The poor little stray's life was in peril and he was trying everything he could to crawl to the roadside.

That's when a man in a Peugeot stopped. He got out of his car and began to approach the kitten.

Knowing the little one must be frightened by the ordeal, he walked up to him, crouched down, reached out his hand to check on the kitten.

The little kitten was responsive right away. Miraculously, he was OK. The kind-hearted man quickly grabbed the kitten and took him with him.

Watch the raw footage of the rescue in this video:

After the incident, a local Russian news site tracked down the hero, and found out what happened to the kitten afterwards.

The man's name is Denis Degtyarev, 43, from Kaliningrad. "The kitten turned out very small, not even able to eat, so I took him to the sports school, where my children were, and with the help of good people, we found him a new home," said Degtyarev .

Orphaned Kitten Guards Her Little Brother Since Day One, Now 10 Months Later..

A tiny orphaned kitten met her little brother after he was born. She's been guarding and protecting him ever since.

Meet Timber the kitten and her best friend Finn.

Little Timber the kitten hadn't opened her eyes when she came to a vet clinic in Kansas. The tiny feline baby needed a mom, so one of the staff offered to help.

"Our Doctor's brother brought in a kitten he found in a parking lot. She was two days old and I fell in love with her instantly," Sam Williams told Love Meow. "I have a male tabby (Todd) as well that looks identical to her and he gladly took Timber under his wing and helped me take care of her."

"I took her home to foster her back to health and was expecting my son, Finn, 2 weeks later."

"After I had Finn I was off for my 6 weeks and had two babies to take care of," Williams told Love Meow.

"We snuggled and she loved to sleep with him. Since then she is always in the same room as us and loves when Finn pets her and plays with her."

Little Timber sings a lullaby of purrs for her best friend and guards him by his side when he naps.

Her favorite thing in the morning is to go into Finn's room to give him a meowy wake-up call.

The two buddies are growing up together, and their bond gets stronger by the day. Timber has already found her forever home.

The little tabby girl adores her brother Finn and even tries to care for him the same way Todd did when she was rescued.

Timber has grown so much since the day she met Todd.

Her feline brother has taught her all the tricks she needs to reign over the house and shown her the love which she's passing on to her brother Finn.

Timber is very petite for a cat. She's 11 months old now and is just 6 lbs.

"She thinks all of the babies' toys are her and loves to sit in all of his seats and play with him," Williams told Love Meow.

Timber is a couple of weeks older than her brother Finn, and she's taken on the role of a protective sister all along.

"They are both turning a year old in a couple months and I'm so happy that my son will have a bond with Timber when he gets older!"

Soldier Captures Moments of Stray Cat Choosing Him to Be His Forever Human

A stray cat followed a soldier to his base after he befriended him and demanded that he be his forever human.

The kitty fell asleep in his helmet.

A stray cat took a liking to a solder who is on active duty near the city of Constanta, Romania. Ever since Justin found the little feline, the kitty has been his shadow, following him around every time he sees him.

"I picked up this kitten weeks ago and he followed me to the barracks we live, on a semi-abandoned base," Justin shared with Love Meow.

"I named him Salem."

The kitty has become quite attached to his human friend.

He will hop onto his lap for love and attention and even slip into his helmet for a cat nap.

"There is a huge problem with strays in this country. They are everywhere. This little guy just took a liking to me," Justin told Love Meow.

After a hectic day of work, Salem comes to Justin and snuggles in his lap, purring up a storm.

Salem is very affectionate towards his human buddy and gives him the comfort he needs that reminds him of home.

The best feeling of the day.

This little guy has stolen his human's heart.

With only a month and a half left in this country, Justin is working on getting the kitty to the vet while looking for a rescue group that could help arrange a trip to get Salem to his home in El Paso, Texas.

Salem enjoying laptime with Justin.

"My wife and I would love to give this little guy a warm home to live in."

The kitty has quite the purrsonality.

Little Salem doesn't want to be anywhere but with his human dad.

Cat Lived Her Early Years in Fear Until They Found Her and Showed Her Love

She was the outcast of a feral colony and lived her early years in fear and hunger until she was saved by the rescuers and felt love for the first time.

Meet Bubbles the cat!

There is so much charm and quirks in these beautiful eyes. But before Bubbles the cat was found by the rescuers, she was living her days in fear.

"The tiny cat was the outcast of a feral cat colony. The other cats took to pummeling our little girl, preventing her from eating," Tabby's Place, a cat sanctuary in Ringoes, New Jersey, said.

She was weak, petrified, and lost, wandering on her own until one day she was rescued through the Tabby's Place TNR program and found herself in a new home. "We quickly discovered that Bubbles was indeed very skinny, and she's also quite cross-eyed."

Bubbles was extremely shy and a little leery when she arrived in the sanctuary.

They began to socialize her, one step at a time.

It took her quite time to learn to trust because she spent most of her life fending for herself with little to no human contact.

Slowly but surely, Bubbles began to learn that humans aren't so bad and it makes her happy when they pet her.

Even after all she's been through, Bubbles befriended other cats at the sanctuary.

She gave her feline suite mates baths and love.

Bubbles had a rough start to life, but with patience, tenderness and love, the gorgeous cross-eyed girl began to see the world differently.

In the weeks that followed, she held her head a bit taller and became more confident around her human friends.

It's been over a year since Bubbles was rescued. The kitty who wouldn't let anyone near her, is now snuggling with her forever humans at a place she calls home.

"She may have crossed eyes, but Bubbles sees clearly now: life is beautiful."

Rescue Cat Mama and Her Babies Help a Teeny Motherless Kitten

A cat mama and her five little kittens were abandoned at the vet's doorstep. A tiny orphaned kitten was desperately looking for some motherly love. When mama saw the kitten, she took her in and started caring for her like her own.

"I work for Green Street Rescue, a non profit organization in Philadelphia, PA. We received a call from a vet that when they were opening, they found a box with these guys in it," Jonny of Green Street Rescue wrote via reddit.

"They were just hours old."

At the same time, a white kitten who was much smaller than her age, came to her foster's home without a mother.

The rescue group decided to introduce the kitten to the rescue cat mama, hoping she would accept her. And she did with open arms!

"Our organization is just five people, but we've rescued 200 cats this year alone," he added.

This white kitty (on the left) came as an orphan. She's two weeks older than the others, but much smaller than her age.

"Everything is going to be all right, little one. I am your mom now!"

Learning to eat solid food! A bit messy but making progress!

Awww! Little cross-eyed kitty showing off his jelly beans!

What a happy furry family!

The little orphan (on top of Mom) is fitting in just fine :).
